I am a middle school ELL teacher with one two-hour section of READ 180. This is my second year teaching the class and I will be teaching it next year as well! Our trainers, Brigitte and Michelle, are amazing and I'm excited to incorporate their ideas into our program next year. I am also extremely excited about our online community! What an effective way to network and search for resources. Thank you, Scholastic!

We are mixed class of both 6th and 7th graders. Most of us speak Spanish fluently and those of us who don't, have been learning words throughout the year. We are lucky to have more than 90 minutes together each day!

Why I Teach READ 180 and/or System 44
The year I began teaching for LPGE, READ 180 was purchased by Freshwater Education District and given to several schools to increase reading proficiency. Though it was assigned to me as an ELL teacher, I've quickly realized I am very fortunate to be able to work with the program.
