Creating Classroom artwork and rules for walls to establish unity

I went to work today and was ready to create rotation and rules for each station posters. Then, I realized how I would work the entire weekend preparing a classroom that iwould be shared between students and me. So why should I work up a sweat and suffer anxiety attacks when students can help out.  Through their effort to make the classroom "ours" (what a concept, huh?), they will develop a respect for what is expected in the classroom.  I have thirty students per block (two blocks this year) this year, and many, like last year, will find excuses for not getting involved in the classwork and whole group expectations. Every student in my class will have a responsiblity. By the end of three weeks, I can only pray every student will be on task and stay on task.
