Spelling zone

Somewhere I have heard that kids must get through 10 spelling words before logging out in order for their work to be "saved" ..otherwise the next time they log in they have to start over. Does anyone know if this is true and if so how did you find this out? I haven't seen that information in any of my training/implementation materials...

When the kids are in the Spelling Challenge, be sure they complete the 10 questions on the page before logging out. That will "save" those words and the next time the Challenge picks up from that point.

In a recent survey, my students said that the Spelling Zone gave them the most trouble.  I am glad to know about the 10 word thing.  I think sometimes that they logged off when the timer buzzed, and had not spelled 10 words yet.  I'll check on that next year.
