Video Story Connect & Respond questions through ITS

I cannot figure out how to open the Connect & Respond questions that come after each workshop's Anchor Video when using the ITS. Has anyone figured out how to do this? Thanks, Debbie

  • FYI: The reading of "The Names" by Billy Collins is not available on ITS. You still have to go back to the Anchor DVD to play Billy Collins reading his poem. It would be great if that could be added to ITS... :0) Debbie

thanks for all of your expert info

Hi Debbie - Looks like you found something we missed! I will work on getting this fixed in the ITS, but in the mean time - one way to access the questions is via the small group page of the Anchor Video pages in the rBook - the L page. In the Small Group page of the Anchor DVD instruction, the Connect & Respond questions and their sentence starters are right there in the book. A great feature in the ITS is the Zoom To Tool - this tool looks like a Magnifying Glass with a dotted box next to it. The Zoom To tool is a great feature that allows teachers to highlight an area of the ITS page that they want the student to focus on. Once used, the button will turn into a 100% button that will bring the page back to 100% when clicked. This is a great way to highlight the questions and their sentence starters from the ITS. Thank you. Suzanne

Hi Debbie...our ITS isn't up and running..as soon as it is, I will let you know! Jen

Are the video segments very small for everyone on ITS?  WHen I click on it from the R-book page link it shows up in a box about 1/5 of the screen/page.  I still use the anchor DVD because I can use that full screen.  Not sure if maybe I am doing something wrong on ITS.

You are correct.  The video is very small.  In addition, the ITS program does not include all of the extras on the the Anchor video, the Video Story Connect & Respond questions for small group, and any additional readings (Level C includes a reading of a poem used in Workshop 3).  I'm hoping that with time, these will all be available through ITS to alleviate the need for multiple equipment needs. :0)  Debbie
