Recordings

I was wondering if you get to every recording and writing in the teacher section. I am trying to listen to every reader and go over every writing the students do. IT is just so hard. I am behind right now.

  • Mabel, I don't get to listen to every recording, but try to at least listen to every other one.  In the Writing Zone, I do assess every one.  I don't use the Portfolio grading, but find it easier to print the student's paragraph and use my own Success Zone Tickets to evaluate it for paragraph length (minimum of 6 sentences), textual evidence from the passage to support SD1 & SD2, and the use of conventions.  Students' Writing Zone success in these areas is one of my SGO's.
