How often can a student who is on the System 44 Software take the Phonics Inventory?

Some of my students' PI scores went down between first and second intervals and I am wondering if it wasn't a good session for them following the Reading Inventory. How long do I need to wait before they can take the PI again?

While the Reading Inventory (RI) is computer adaptive, the Phonics Inventory (PI) is computer administered. The RI changes with every administration. The PI has only three forms of the test within the software. I don't like giving the PI too frequently,, but if your students really did not do their best on the test, you could re-test them. That means when they take the test at the end of the year they will be taking the first form over again. (1 of 2) Dee, Ask Dee at the READ 180 Community
