So upset

So, after 9 total years in Read 180 and 7 of them in my current district, my district has decided to eliminate the Stage B program and I am to be notified of my future placement sometime next month. I am devastated as I whole-heartedly believe in this program and the power it can bring to young people's lives. I will miss this community as it has grown and changed. I will miss seeing everyone at the NSI and the stories we've shared. I will even miss listening to Ty through my children's all too loud headsets. LOL

Tina, you will be missed. I am so sorry your district has decided to drop READ 180. Dee

I believe my school district is also eliminating the R180/S44 program at all elementary school. I am not sure about the middle school, yet. I am in the process of deciding whether to stay and see what I will be assigned to or applying for other R180 positions. I am trying to find out what other districts use the program. I am in San Diego, CA.
