how long should it take for a student to move through the zones

Need to know if my students are actively engaged in the system. How long should it take to go from one success zone to another?

  • Our trainer indicated that it probably shouldn't take more than 15 sessions to complete a segment. He indicated they are probably not engaged if it takes longer and that you shouldn't let them struggle. You are able to maunally pass them on to choose a new segment.

A student should work through the zones in 5 to 15 days. It depends on the individual student and the Level. Generally, Level 1 students work through the zones faster than Level 4 students. Take a look at the READ 180 Reading Progress Report. it will tell you their average time in the software. It should be at least 15 to 17 minutes. Some will have more time. If they have less than 15 minutes, then they are likely goofing off some. Dee, Ask Dee at the READ 180 Community
