For getting stronger classroom participation, I find that the structured engagement routines associated with READ 180 are very valuable. For software work, I like showing students their reports. There is nothing like explaining to students how they are doing by showing them their reports. I like to include the READ 180 Reading Progress Report to show them the average time on the computer. Finally, the Reading Inventory Growth and Progress to College & Career Reports are motivators.
