Academic vocabulary sentence frames by Kate Kinsella: Does anyone have elementary level sentence frames with nonlinguistic representation information, e.g., gestures or illustrations?

A significant number of our students are participating in System 44, still learning letter-sounds in the intermediate grades. Thus, more scaffolding to use the sentence frames would be useful and appreciated! Thank you!

I went searching for sentence frames with gestures and/or illustrations for you and was not successful. It sounds to me like your students are at the phonemic awareness level. Perhaps addressing that and doing oral scaffolding would be one solution. I don't know if you have found the phonemic awareness lessons on the System 44 RDI book yet. If not, take a look at those. Maybe someone else has what you need. Dee Ask Dee at the READ 180 Community
