Does anyone have a really good reading log they use for Independent reading? Also, I am looking for ideas on how to help the students achieve higher reading counts quiz grades.

I just need any help that can be given please and thank you.

I like the log that is in the SAM Resources. There are several in the Community Resources as well. Just do a search on Reading Log. Also, check out Debbie Lee's blog at http://educatorcommunity.hmhco.com/blog/stage-c/independent-reading-help-tips-and-tricks-to-a-successful-independent-reading-rotation. This is another one of her blog posts that is helpful: http://educatorcommunity.hmhco.com/blog/stage-c/independent-reading-update. (1 of 2) Dee, Ask Dee at the READ 180 Community

I also address this in a document I wrote on accountability in Independent and Modeled Reading that can be found at http://educatorcommunity.hmhco.com/resource/thoughts-on-accountability-in-independent-modeled-reading. (2 of 2) Dee, Ask Dee at the READ 180 Community
