READ 180 Universal and Phonics Inventory

Is the Phonics Inventory on READ 180 Universal and how do I have my students go to it? There is no icon for it. Also where are reports that have to do with phonics on the reports for READ 180 Universal or are the reports only on Comprehension?

  • Where is the Phonics Inventory on READ 180 Universal if there is no icon for the students to click on how do they take the assessment? What else on READ 180 Universal will show a report on Phonics? Thanks!

The Phonics Inventory is not sold with READ 180. If a school has purchased System 44, the school also receives licenses for Phonics Inventory. If a school has not purchased System 44, the school can purchase Phonics Inventory as a stand-alone product. (1 of 2) Dee, Ask Dee at the READ 180 Community

There are not phonics reports that come with READ 180 Universal. Most of the reports deal with comprehension in READ 180 Universal. Students who are enrolled in READ 180 are usually competent with phonics. System 44 is designed for teaching phonics and basic decoding skills. READ 180 is for striving readers, not non-readers. It is my understanding students will need to be assigned to take the Phonics Inventory for the icon to show up.
